My favorite Atlanta one-two punch,: April weather (pollen notwithstanding) and wedding season, is upon us! For me, this April, good things come in threes, as I am headed out of town this weekend, assistant in tow, for three weddings in three states in three days! Crazy, I know, but that’s what all the Crossfit, kale, and sleep is for… so I can pull off feats that lesser wedding photographers could only dream of!
Before hitting the road, I am (last minute) blitz blogging said weddings’ engagement shoots, as all three weddings’ corresponding engagement photography, for one reason or another, was pushed right up against their April wedding dates. I can’t justifiably leave town without posting these images, and since I’m shooting three weddings in three days, why not do the same with these engagement blogs (three in three days).
Which brings me to blog number two!
Betsey and Owen maintained that they had some engagement photos taken already, back home in South Cackalacky, and asked me if they could exchange their engagement session for a set of photos at one of their rugby matches. Always eager to oblige, I agreed and headed up to the Life University fields on what was the first sunny day of spring in Metro Atlanta. Ah, the first sunshine of the year! You can guess what happened: ugly bandana farmer’s tan on my forehead. But I digress…
Rugby is a big part of Betsey and Owen’s lives and their team is almost like a second family, as far as I can tell. My incursion into sports photography, to this point, has been non-existent, so it was fun to try something new and grab some images of their Saturday afternoon rugby match. Of course, afterwards, Betsey and Owen were kind enough to oblige me and hang around the gorgeous campus forest for some of those sunkissed engagement photos that I so love!
